How to create a Clip

You can create Clips while watching your user tests. Set the exact start and end time, add descriptions and use #tags to organize your findings.

Or just take notes from our AI assistant and turn them into clips.

To add a new clip, just follow the three easy steps:

1. Click on ? Clip at the bottom of the page to switch to the clips view.
2. Set the starting and end times by clicking “Start” and “End” and fine-adjust the right time.
3. Hit “Replay” to play the clip from the start.
4. Click on “Create clip” to add the clip.

When to use Clips

Clips let you quickly capture and share key moments from user tests. Here’s how to make the most of it:

• Frustrations: Capture clips where users get stuck or frustrated. These clips can clearly show where your product needs improvement.
• Successes: Make clips of moments where users are happy or find something easy. By turning these good parts into clips, you can make sure the product team knows what works well. This way, you don’t lose these good features by mistake in new product versions.
• Unexpected Uses: Record unexpected ways users interact with your product. These insights can lead to innovative updates.
• Feature Suggestions: If users suggest new features or changes, clips can help share these ideas easily. However, take these suggestions with a grain of salt. Remember, users aren’t UX designers or researchers, and what they say they want doesn’t always match what they actually need or do. So, be cautious before turning any suggestion into a feature.
• Before-and-After Changes: Use Clips to show the impact of any updates, comparing user experiences before and after changes.
